General / Hotel Policies

Check in is 3pm / 1500hrs.

Check out is 11am / 1100hrs.

The spa facilities are available from 3pm on the day of arrival.

Guaranteed check-in is 3pm. We’re happy to add an early arrival request to your reservation to prioritise your room, but please know this does not guarantee early check-in. The only way to guarantee check-in before 3pm is to book your room for the night prior.

This service is subject to availability. A £20 per extra hour fee will be applied to the final bill for any hours past the check-out time. A full night’s charge will be applied if you wish to check-out later than 4pm.

Our online cancellation is subject to terms and conditions of accommodation package reserved. Generally, bookings made via our website can be cancelled up to 3pm, 3 days prior to arrival. This does not apply to non-refundable, non-transferable bookings made via a third-party site.

For bookings of eight rooms or more, please contact info@slievedonard.co.uk or phone +44 (0)28 4372 1066 and ask for group reservations.

Dogs are welcome at Slieve Donard. Please be sure to let our reservations team know at the time of booking that you will be bringing your pet.

There is a charge of £35 per dog, per night (charges do not apply for service dogs).

Wi-Fi is complimentary and available in all public areas and rooms.

Certainly, our concierge will safely store your luggage in the concierge store before check-in or after check-out. We do not accept any liability for damage or loss to any property whilst left on the property.

Our lost property department is open daily from 9am-5pm. The lost property department can only be contacted between these times, although collection arrangements can be made outside of these times. Any belongings not collected on the specified collection day will be returned to lost property, and an alternative collection date must be arranged. You can contact the lost property at info@slievedonard.co.uk or on +44 (0)28 4372 1009. The guest will incur the charge for any postage costs, any payment must be made prior to items being returned.

Parking / Transportation

Yes, we offer complimentary car parking to all our guests. Accessible parking is also available.

No, valet parking is not available at Slieve Donard.

There are three airports close to the hotel:

The nearest station is only five minutes walk from the Hotel on Railway Street.

Rooms

Yes, we have two fully accessible double rooms with two double beds and a full wet room.

We do not have any smoking rooms due to the new smoking law; however, we have designated smoking areas outside the hotel.

Yes, we have cribs and rollaways for children in the hotel, but a request must be made prior to ensure sufficient availability.

Yes, we have a selection of teas and coffees in all of our rooms. If a tea type is not provided in the room, we can supply it if a request is made.

Yes, all of our rooms have ironing boards and hairdryers.

Yes, we’ve partnered with Ship Sticks for hassle-free golf club shipping to and from Slieve Donard. This convenient service picks up golf gear and luggage right at your door and sends it straight to the hotel, where it will be waiting for you at check-in.

Yes, complimentary golf bag storage is available during your stay.

Yes, we have full sets of Titleist clubs for guests to borrow during their stay.

Spa

Appointments can be made online, by phone, via email or in person at the spa reception. All appointments must be guaranteed with a credit card. Payment will be taken in full on arrival at the spa.

We offer an indoor heated pool measuring 20 metres, exclusively accessible to hotel, spa and leisure guests. The pool’s depth is 1.35 metres.

Please be aware that lifeguards are not stationed on duty – nevertheless, we have proficient pool responders ready to intervene in the unlikely case of an emergency.

Yes, these designated periods create a safe and family-friendly environment for young swimmers and their accompanying adults. The family swim times are as follows:

Daily from 9.30am – 5.30pm

During designated swim times, adults can also use the facilities without children. However, please be aware that these times are family-friendly.

We offer a range of treatments from leading experts ESPA, one of the world’s leading spa and skincare brands. Their unique face, body, and massage treatments combine traditional holistic therapies with modern-day techniques and the purest natural ingredients. 

A consultation form must be completed before each treatment.

Treatments are suitable for those aged 16+. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult when using our leisure facilities. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the thermal suite or gym.

We kindly ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time to check in at reception while allowing time to change and fill in your consultation card. Kindly note that if you arrive late for your scheduled appointment, your treatment time will be reduced. Full payment will still be required.

To enhance your spa experience, we provide lockers, towels, robes and slippers for your comfort during your visit. We recommend changing into your robe before spa treatments commence for optimal relaxation. Additionally, we suggest bringing comfortable, loose clothing for after your treatment.

While using the pool facilities, swimwear must be worn at all times. To maintain a clean and comfortable environment, we kindly request that soft furnishings not be used with wet swimwear. Instead, please utilise your provided robe.
Please use caution when wearing slippers around the leisure facilities, particularly in wet or high-humidity areas.

To preserve a serene atmosphere, we ask you to turn off your mobile phone while in the spa and respect the privacy of other guests. For the comfort of everyone, mobile phones, tablets or recording devices are strictly prohibited on the pool floor and in changing facilities.

Please let us know any dietary requirements in advance should you have booked a spa day that includes lunch or dining.

We always prioritise your wellbeing and safety during spa treatments. To ensure a tailored and safe experience, we kindly request that you inform us of any health conditions, recent surgeries, allergies or injuries when making your spa booking. In some cases, a doctor’s note may be required to ensure the most appropriate and beneficial treatment for you.

Failure to provide this essential information may lead to necessary amendments, changes or cancellations of your scheduled treatment. It’s important to note that the lead booker is responsible for ensuring all guests included in their booking have provided the necessary health-related information.

We offer specially designed treatments for expectant and nursing mothers. Please allow our team to guide you in selecting which treatments are most suitable after 12-weeks, to ensure your time with us is safe but still special. Please note that the NHS advise that you should avoid the use of saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs while pregnant.

We prioritise the comfort of our guests. All our therapists are highly qualified professionals with proper accreditation to ensure the highest standard of care during your spa experience.

If you have a therapist preference, kindly inform us at the time of booking, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests, please be advised that Spa Management reserves the right to temporarily close any area of the spa for essential maintenance without prior notice. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency throughout our spa facilities.

While our staff are dedicated to maintaining a secure environment, we advise against bringing valuable or irreplaceable items to the spa. If you have any concerns or require assistance with the lockers, our team will be more than happy to help.

For your convenience, lockers are provided in our changing rooms. We kindly request that you use these lockers to secure all your valuables during your visit. While we strive to create a secure environment, we regret to inform you that we cannot be held responsible for the loss or damage of any personal items.
