Two Southern Pines Classics
by Marine & Lawn Hotels & Resorts
Opening in 2026
Renovations will begin soon at the first US property of the Marine & Lawn collection.
Mid Pines Inn and Pine Needles Lodge—cornerstones of the Pinehurst region and the soul of Southern Pines—are entering a new era. Now part of the Marine & Lawn collection, these storied 1920s-era properties will be thoughtfully revitalised to honor their legacy while enhancing the guest experience. Just minutes from historic downtown Southern Pines and the Village of Pinehurst, the reimagined inns will feature refreshed rooms, new gathering spaces, and inspired dining, all reflecting the spirit, history, and natural beauty of this iconic golf destination.
Two Classics, Reimagined
Inspired by story and sport, our interiors will feature rustic wood, classic tartans, rich greens, blues, and umber tones inspired by the encompassing pine forest.

Mid Pines will offer 63 rooms amid scenic grounds, while Pine Needles will feature 72 rooms near championship fairways—each blending historic charm with thoughtful updates.

Mid Pines will include an impressive restaurant, cosy bar, expansive porch overlooking the course, event spaces, and revamped bedrooms all in the signature Marine & Lawn style.
Pine Needles will include event spaces as well as a refreshed clubhouse restaurant & bar, with a new outdoor patio overlooking the course. Lodges will retain their signature woodsy feel, elevated in the Marine & Lawn style.

Explore The Sandhills
The Sandhills region is widely considered the birthplace of American golf and the legacy of Donald Ross designs. It’s known for its gently rolling terrain, sandy soil, and longleaf pines—ideal conditions for golf.
The area has become a premier year-round golf destination, regularly hosting major tournaments, including four US Women’s Open Championships.
